Record phenological responses to climate change in three sympatric penguin species
This paper is impressive because we managed to monitor extensively a really difficult place to reach and operate in. We deployed 77 cameras across Antarctica and the Sub Antarctic islands to monitor three different species of penguins. We found that they are the fastest advancing vertebrates with respect to their timing of breeding.

What do communicating with a baby, with an animal, and with an ancestor have in common? In all three cases, people engage in opaque communication that is far from the standard psycholinguistic model of transparent interaction based on shared intentionality.

Interspecific competition limits bird species’ ranges in tropical mountains
Science, 2022Species’ geographic ranges are limited by climate and species interactions. Climate is the prevailing explanation for why species live only within narrow elevational ranges in megadiverse biodiverse tropical mountains, but competition can also restrict ...

Pest Management Science, 2022
BACKGROUND Species displacement by the outcome of interspecific competition is of particular importance to pest management. Over the past decade, spinetoram has been extensively applied in control of the two closely related thrips Megalurothrips usitatus

Interspecific competition in bats: state of knowledge and research challenges
, 2019Interspecific competition (IC) is often seen as a main driver of evolutionary patterns and community structure. Bats might compete for key resources, and cases of exaggerated divergence of resource‐related characters or trait overdispersion in bat ...
