Interspecific Interactions I: Predation and Parasitism
2020Predation and parasitism are dominant forms of interspecific interactions in aquatic ecosystems. Predation effects have been more commonly quantified in aquatic ecosystems than disease. Diet studies documenting predation are substantially more common that routine monitoring for disease in aquaculture systems.

Numerical evaluation of external effects on interspecific interacting populations
International Journal of Automation and Computing, 2016In this paper, effects of environmental and hunting parameters on the interspecific interacting populations are considered by applying the Rosenzweig-MacArthur model with the Holling type II functional response. Attenuating functions of the carrying capacity are introduced with a concern on the hunting parameters.

Microbial Ecology, 1999> Abstract Twenty-seven species of tropical and subtropical fungi isolated from freshwater were examined for evidence of interspecific interactions, which are important in determining the ecological roles of fungi. Evidence for interspecific interactions was examined by inoculating paired fungi 25 mm apart on the surface of agar plates.

2010The behavioural relationships of mixed-species colonies are reviewed and attempts made to uncover those features of their behaviour that are conserved subsequent to speciation. Both Apis cerana and Apis mellifera in mixed-colonies exhibited typical retinue behaviour towards heterospecific queens.
