Structure in the Interstellar-Extinction Curve
Using photographic techniques, it was attempted to obtain spectra of the interstellar material at a resolution of about 5 A. Three classes of structures are discussed. It is pointed out that the optical observations can be extended into the UV with a resolution of 0.4 A using the OAO-C telescope.

Microalgae: A Solution for Food Security and Multiplanetary Farming
ABSTRACT Human civilization is threatened by food insecurity and habitat loss owing to the cumulative effects of anthropogenic and natural factors. Thus, increasing food production while using fewer resources and exploring the potential of interstellar migration is essential.

Interstellar Extinction in the Gaia Photometric Systems
Three medium-band photometric systems proposed for the Gaia space mission are intercompared in determining color excesses for stars of spectral classes from O to M at V = 18 mag.

The photoreaction induced by Lyman‐α circularly polarized light (CPL) irradiation in racemic alanine film is more complex than simple preferential photolysis of enantiopure alanine molecules, and formation of larger molecules is observed. Circular networks of order of 100 nm scale are introduced in the alanine film surface by the irradiation.

A comparison is presented between Kinetic Mie Polarimetry and Scanning Electron Microscopy of plasma‐grown amorphous hydrogenated carbon (a‐C:H) particles. The analysis includes particle size distributions, which show that the standard deviation grows linearly, resulting in a constant shape.

An All-sky 3D Dust Map Based on Gaia and LAMOST
We present a comprehensive 3D dust-reddening map covering the entire Milky Way, constructed by combining reddening estimates based on Large Sky Area Multi-Object Fiber Spectroscopy Telescope (LAMOST) low-resolution spectra ( E ( B − V ) _LAMOST ) with ...

Interstellar extinction toward symbiotic stars
Using diffuse interstellar bands (DIBs) at 5780 A, 5797 A and 6613 A, visible in the high resolution spectra, and measuring their equivalent widths, we estimate the interstellar extinction toward seven symbiotic stars. We find $E_{B-V}$= $1.28 \pm 0.10$ for AS 289, $E_{B-V}$= $1.55 \pm 0.10$ for BI Cru, $E_{B-V}$= $0.63 \pm 0.10$ for HD330036, $E_{B-V}$

Probing the Distinct Extinction Law of the Pillars of Creation in M16 with JWST
Investigating the extinction law in regions of high dust extinction, such as the Pillars of Creation within the M16 region, is crucial for understanding the densest parts of the interstellar medium (ISM).
