The interstellar medium of dwarf galaxies: new insights from Machine Learning analysis of emission-line spectra [PDF]
Dwarf galaxies are ideal laboratories to study the physics of the interstellar medium (ISM). Emission lines have been widely used to this aim. Retrieving the full information encoded in the spectra is therefore essential. This can be efficiently and reliably done using Machine Learning (ML) algorithms.

Abstract Production rates for the cosmogenic radionuclides 10Be, 14C, 26Al, 36Cl, 41Ca, 53Mn, and 60Fe in a large variety of meteorites, that is, ordinary chondrites (H, L, LL), carbonaceous chondrites, HED meteorites, ureilites, Martian meteorites, and iron meteorites and in the uppermost ~2 m of the lunar surface are modeled.

We present the first detection of helium radio recombination lines (HeRRLs) at 800 MHz from the diffuse ionized gas (DIG) in the Cygnus X region, with an ionized helium-to-hydrogen ratio ( ${{n}}_{{\rm{H}}{\rm{e}}}^{+}/{{n}}_{{\rm{H}}}^{+}$ ) of 0.06 ± 0.

Statistical properties of dust far-infrared emission
The description of the statistical properties of dust emission gives important constraints on the physics of the interstellar medium but it is also a useful way to estimate the contamination of diffuse interstellar emission in the cases where it is ...

No “Maunder Minimum” Candidates in M67: Mitigating Interstellar Contamination of Chromospheric Emission Lines [PDF]
Abstract The solar analogs of M67 let us glimpse the probable behavior of the Sun on timescales surpassing the duration of human civilization. M67 can serve as a solar proxy because its stars share a similar age and composition with the Sun.

Spaceborne and spaceborn: Physiological aspects of pregnancy and birth during interplanetary flight
Abstract Crewed interplanetary return missions that are on the planning horizon will take years, more than enough time for initiation and completion of a pregnancy. Pregnancy is viewed as a sequence of processes – fertilization, blastocyst formation, implantation, gastrulation, placentation, organogenesis, gross morphogenesis, birth and neonatal ...

Detection of Deuterated Hydrocarbon Nanoparticles in the Whirlpool Galaxy, M51
Deuteration of hydrocarbon material, including polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), has been proposed to account for the low gas-phase abundances of D in the interstellar medium (ISM). JWST spectra of four star-forming regions in M51 show an emission

COLLISIONAL EXCITATION OF FAR-INFRARED LINE EMISSIONS FROM WARM INTERSTELLAR CARBON MONOXIDE (CO) [PDF]
Motivated by recent observations with Herschel/PACS, and the availability of new rate coefficients for the collisional excitation of CO (Yang et al. 2010), the excitation of warm astrophysical CO is revisited with the use of numerical and analytic methods.

Mirror Mode Mediated EMIC Wave Generation in the Magnetosheath
Abstract Electromagnetic ion cyclotron (EMIC) waves and mirror modes (MMs), both driven by ion temperature anisotropy, are commonly observed in planetary magnetosheaths. Conventional explanations for their co‐occurrence are largely based on linear instability theory in proton–electron plasmas, which requires comparable growth rates for the EMIC and MM ...
