Early steep optical decay linked to reverse shock for GRB200131A

open access: yesActa Polytechnica
We observed an optical afterglow of GRB200131A obtaining the first photometric point 63 s after the satellite trigger. This early observation shows a steep decay, suggesting either internal engine activity or a reverse shock.

On the Existence, Rareness, and Uniqueness of Quenched H i-rich Galaxies in the Local Universe

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
Using data from ALFALFA, xGASS, H i -MaNGA, and the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS), we identify a sample of 47 “red but H i -rich” (RR) galaxies with near-UV (NUV) − r > 5 and unusually high H i -to-stellar mass ratios. We compare the optical properties

Limits on dark matter annihilation from the shape of radio emission in M31

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
Well-motivated models of dark matter often result in a population of electrons and positrons within galaxies produced through dark matter annihilation — usually in association with gamma rays.
