Interval Power Flow Analysis Considering Interval Output of Wind Farms through Affine Arithmetic and Optimizing-Scenarios Method

open access: yesEnergies, 2018
Wind power belongs to sustainable and clean energy sources which play a vital role of reducing environment pollution and addressing energy crisis. However, wind power outputs are quite difficult to predict because they are derived from wind speeds, which

Synthesis, characterization, and performance of x_MoO3/Z‐22 and x_MoO3/MMP catalysts for biodiesel production

open access: yesThe Canadian Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
Methyl transesterification of soybean oil using heterogeneous catalysts for biodiesel production. Abstract The growing global demand for renewable fuels has driven the search for efficient catalysts in biodiesel production. This study presents the synthesis and characterization of x_MoO3/Z‐22 and x_MoO3/MMP heterogeneous catalysts, and evaluates the ...

Hyperbranched Molecular Brush Membrane for Efficient and Antifouling Oil‐Water Emulsion Separation

open access: yesCleanMat, EarlyView.
This work develops a carboxyl‐terminated hyperbranched molecular brush‐modified membrane that exhibits superhydrophilicity, underwater superoleophobicity, and a strong negative charge. The membrane achieves high efficiency, superior antifouling performance, and stable separation of oil‐in‐water emulsions across a wide pH range.

Self‐Similar Blowup for the Cubic Schrödinger Equation

open access: yesCommunications on Pure and Applied Mathematics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We give a rigorous proof for the existence of a finite‐energy, self‐similar solution to the focusing cubic Schrödinger equation in three spatial dimensions. The proof is computer‐assisted and relies on a fixed point argument that shows the existence of a solution in the vicinity of a numerically constructed approximation.

Conformity and statistical tolerancing

open access: yesInternational Journal of Metrology and Quality Engineering, 2018
Statistical tolerancing was first proposed by Shewhart (Economic Control of Quality of Manufactured Product, (1931) reprinted 1980 by ASQC), in spite of this long history, its use remains moderate.

Entropy Analysis of RR and QT Interval Variability during Orthostatic and Mental Stress in Healthy Subjects

open access: yesEntropy, 2014
Autonomic activity affects beat-to-beat variability of heart rate and QT interval. The aim of this study was to explore whether entropy measures are suitable to detect changes in neural outflow to the heart elicited by two different stress paradigms.

Safety, Pharmacokinetics, and Dose Recommendations for Nirmatrelvir/Ritonavir in Individuals with Mild to Moderate COVID‐19 and Severe Renal Impairment

open access: yesClinical Pharmacology &Therapeutics, EarlyView.
Patients with severe renal impairment and COVID‐19 are at high risk for severe disease and death. Nirmatrelvir/ritonavir, an antiviral therapy for COVID‐19, is eliminated by renal excretion and can accumulate in patients with severe renal impairment.

Uncertainty Analysis in the Noise Parameters Estimation

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2012
The new approach to the uncertainty estimation in modelling acoustic hazards by means of the interval arithmetic is presented in the paper. In the case of the noise parameters estimation the selection of parameters specifying the acoustic wave ...

Do ESG‐Related Managerial Capabilities Pay Off for SMEs? Evidence From the Small and Medium‐Sized Enterprise ESG Capability Measure (SM‐ESG)

open access: yesCorporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Large companies have a long track record of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives, whereas many small and medium‐sized enterprises (SMEs) lag in adopting sustainability‐related practices, often acting voluntarily or in response to stakeholder pressures and incentives.
