Ultrasound in Women's Health: Mechanisms, Applications, and Emerging Opportunities
As healthcare moves toward decentralization, ultrasound technologies are evolving from strictly imaging tools in clinical settings into versatile diagnostic and therapeutic platforms, with growing roles addressing women's health needs. This review highlights how ultrasound's underlying physical mechanisms can be harnessed to reduce disparities in women'

Bootstrap Confidence Intervals for Medical Costs With Censored Observations [PDF]
Medical costs data with administratively censored observations often arise in cost-effectiveness studies of treatments for life threatening diseases. Mean of medical costs incurred from the start of a treatment till death or certain timepoint after the ...

FLARE, a multimodal AI framework, combines pathology slides, radiology scans, and clinical reports to predict colorectal cancer outcomes, even when some tests are missing. Evaluated retrospectively in 1679 patients from four medical centers, it consistently achieved the best prognostic accuracy and clearly separated high‐ and low‐risk groups.

This study uncovers a recipient‐derived monocyte‐to‐macrophage trajectory that drives inflammation during kidney transplant rejection. Using over 150 000 single‐cell profiles and more than 850 biopsies, the authors identify CXCL10+ macrophages as key predictors of graft loss.

Non-mixture cure model for interval censored data: a simulation study [PDF]
With the ongoing advance in the medical sciences, we may quite often encounter data sets where some patients have been cured from disease. Standard survival models are usually not appropriate for modeling such data because they simply do not take into ...
