Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve

Phenotypic and genotypic characterization of single circulating tumor cells in the follow‐up of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single circulating tumor cells (sCTCs) from high‐grade serous ovarian cancer patients were enriched, imaged, and genomically profiled using WGA and NGS at different time points during treatment. sCTCs revealed enrichment of alterations in Chromosomes 2, 7, and 12 as well as persistent or emerging oncogenic CNAs, supporting sCTC identity.

Robust Interval State Estimation for Distribution Systems Considering Pseudo-measurement Interval Prediction

open access: yesJournal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy
Interval state estimation (ISE) can estimate state intervals of power systems according to confidence intervals of predicted pseudo-measurements, thereby analyzing the impact of uncertain pseudo-measurements on states.

INTERVAL ESTIMATION OF WEIBULL DISTRIBUTION BASED ON MODIFIED PIVOTAL VARIABLE METHOD (MT)

open access: yesJixie qiangdu, 2023
To solve the problems of complex calculation and weak applicability of the traditional interval estimation methods such as Weibull distribution with the different parameters, a simple interval estimation method suitable to the conditions of multi ...

Tumor mutational burden as a determinant of metastatic dissemination patterns

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study performed a comprehensive analysis of genomic data to elucidate whether metastasis in certain organs share genetic characteristics regardless of cancer type. No robust mutational patterns were identified across different metastatic locations and cancer types.

Interval State Estimation of Distribution Network With Power Flow Constraint

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
Currently, distribution network is faced with many problems, e.g., low automation coverage and less data acquisition. There are also lots of challenges in state estimation, such as imprecise approximation of network parameters and measurement devices as ...

Optimal Time Interval Selection in Long-Run Correlation Estimation [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper presents an asymptotically optimal time interval selection criterion for the long-run correlation block estimator (Bartlett kernel estimator) based on the Newey-West and Andrews-Monahan approaches.

Correlation of the differential expression of PIK3R1 and its spliced variant, p55α, in pan‐cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PIK3R1 undergoes alternative splicing to generate the isoforms, p85α and p55α. By combining large patient datasets with laboratory experiments, we show that PIK3R1 spliced variants shape cancer behavior. While tumors lose the protective p85α isoform, p55α is overexpressed, changes linked to poorer survival and more pronounced in African American ...
