Generalized Fiducial Inference for the Generalized Rayleigh Distribution
This article focuses on the interval estimation of the generalized Rayleigh distribution with scale and shape parameters. The generalized fiducial method is used to construct the fiducial point estimators as well as the fiducial confidence intervals, and

Overconfidence in Interval Estimates. [PDF]
Judges were asked to make numerical estimates (e.g., "In what year was the first flight of a hot air balloon?"). Judges provided high and low estimates such that they were X% sure that the correct answer lay between them. They exhibited substantial overconfidence: The correct answer fell inside their intervals much less than X% of the time.

Estimation of the Serial Interval of Influenza [PDF]
: Estimates of the clinical-onset serial interval of human influenza infection (time between onset of symptoms in an index case and a secondary case) are used to inform public health policy and to construct mathematical models of influenza transmission. We estimate the serial interval of laboratory-confirmed influenza transmission in households.: Index

Reduced-Order and Full-Order Interval Observers Design for Discrete-Time System
In this paper, the design of reduced-order and full-order interval observers for discrete-time system is investigated. First, the original system is transformed into a descriptor system with the ability to estimate the unknown noise of sensors.

Global Surface HCHO Distribution Derived from Satellite Observations with Neural Networks Technique
Formaldehyde (HCHO) is one of the most important carcinogenic air contaminants in outdoor air. However, the lack of monitoring of the global surface concentration of HCHO is currently hindering research on outdoor HCHO pollution.
