Estimation of Temporal Interval
Perceptual and Motor Skills, 1966In several studies on the estimation of temporal intervals investigators have used either white light or white noise to mark the stimulus times. The purpose of the present study was to probe into the effect of colored light, white light, and sound in the estimation of short intervals.

Abstract In Chapters 2 and 3 we discussed point estimation at some length. However, as was noted in Chapter 1, a point estimate on its own is of little use—some measure of its precision is also necessary. This leads naturally to the idea of interval estimation, which is of great practical importance. Nevertheless, we devote less space in

Nonparametric Bayesian Interval Estimation
Biometrika, 1979SUMMARY Bayesian confidence bands for a distribution function are converted into confidence intervals for specified population quantiles and also for the mean. Bayesian tolerance limits are similarly constructed.

Estimating duration intervals [PDF]
Duration intervals measure the dynamic impact of advertising on sales. More precise, the p per cent duration interval measures the time lag between the advertising impulse and the moment that p per cent of its effect has decayed. In this paper, we derive an expression for the duration interval for a general dynamic model linking sales to advertising ...
