Use of the Confidence Interval function

open access: yesEpidemiology, 1990
Graphics displaying all confidence intervals around a point estimate have been referred to as P-value functions and consonance intervals. We recommend use of the term confidence interval function (CI function) rather than P-value function. The CI function is useful because it simultaneously depicts point estimation, variability, and the relation of ...

Next‐generation proteomics improves lung cancer risk prediction

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This is one of very few studies that used prediagnostic blood samples from participants of two large population‐based cohorts. We identified, evaluated, and validated an innovative protein marker model that outperformed an established risk prediction model and criteria employed by low‐dose computed tomography in lung cancer screening trials.

Monitoring of circulating tumor DNA allows early detection of disease relapse in patients with operable breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Monitoring circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) in patients with operable breast cancer can reveal disease relapse earlier than radiology in a subset of patients. The failure to detect ctDNA in some patients with recurrent disease suggests that ctDNA could serve as a supplement to other monitoring approaches.

Developing evidence‐based, cost‐effective P4 cancer medicine for driving innovation in prevention, therapeutics, patient care and reducing healthcare inequalities

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The cancer problem is increasing globally with projections up to the year 2050 showing unfavourable outcomes in terms of incidence and cancer‐related deaths. The main challenges are prevention, improved therapeutics resulting in increased cure rates and enhanced health‐related quality of life.

Difference Gai Sequences of Interval numbers with respect to Orlicz Function

open access: yesActa Scientiarum: Technology
In this article we have introduced some classes generalized difference () Gai sequences of interval numbers with Orlicz functions M. We have studied some algebraic and topological properties of the classes of sequences like, linearity, completeness ...

Norm Estimates for the Difference Between Bochner's Integral and the Convex Combination of Function's Values

open access: yes, 2003
Norm estimates are developed between the Bochner integral of a vector-valued function in Banach spaces having the Radon-Nikodym property and the convex combination of function values taken on a division of the interval [a,b]

Interval conjectures for level Hilbert functions

open access: yesJournal of Algebra, 2009
We conjecture that the set of all Hilbert functions of (artinian) level algebras enjoys a very natural form of regularity, which we call the {\em Interval Conjecture} (IC): If, for some positive integer $ $, $(1,h_1,...,h_i,...,h_e)$ and $(1,h_1,...,h_i+ ,...,h_e)$ are both level $h$-vectors, then $(1,h_1,...,h_i+ ,...,h_e)$ is also level for each ...
