Function Interval Arithmetic [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We propose an arithmetic of function intervals as a basis for convenient rigorous numerical computation. Function intervals can be used as mathematical objects in their own right or as enclosures of functions over the reals. We present two areas of application of function interval arithmetic and associated software that implements the arithmetic: (1 ...

Some fundamental theorems in the interval-valued functions and time scales [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Mahani Mathematical Research
This research investigates the topological structure of the space of interval-valued functions equipped with an order relation defined by open balls. The aim is to establish analogues of fundamental theorems in calculus, including Bolzano’s theorem, the ...

Confidence Intervals for the Mean Function of a Compound Cyclic Poisson Process in the Presence of Power Function Trend

open access: yesCauchy: Jurnal Matematika Murni dan Aplikasi, 2022
We consider the problem of estimating the mean function of a compound cyclic Poisson process in the presence of power function trend. The objectives of this paper are: (i) to construct confidence interval for the mean function of a compound cyclic ...

Interval arithmetic in calculations

open access: yesOpen Engineering, 2016
Interval arithmetic is the mathematical structure, which for real intervals defines operations analogous to ordinary arithmetic ones. This field of mathematics is also called interval analysis or interval calculations.

Hermite–Hadamard and Pachpatte Type Inequalities for Coordinated Preinvex Fuzzy-Interval-Valued Functions Pertaining to a Fuzzy-Interval Double Integral Operator

open access: yesMathematics, 2022
Many authors have recently examined the relationship between symmetry and generalized convexity. Generalized convexity and symmetry have become a new area of study in the field of inequalities as a result of this close relationship.

Differentiation of Interval Functions [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 1972
This paper is concerned with differentiation of interval functions appearing in interval analysis. Two definitions of a derivative are given; the first one uses an isometric restricted imbedding of the quasilinear space of intervals on the real line R, and the other definition is independent ofthat imbedding.
