Results concerning interval linear systems with multiple right-hand sides and the interval matrix equation AX=B

open access: yesJournal of Computational and Applied Mathematics, 2011
The authors consider the interval linear matrix equation \({\mathbf A}X={\mathbf B}\), where \({\mathbf A}\) and \({\mathbf B}\) are given interval matrices of dimension \(m\times m\) and \(m\times n\), respectively. The solution of this equation is defined as a particular subset of the so-called united solution set \[ \Xi_{\exists\exists}'({\mathbf A},

Efficient Implementation of Interval Matrix Multiplication [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
The straightforward implementation of interval matrix product suf- fers from poor efficiency, far from the performances of highly optimized floating-point implementations. In this paper, we show how to reduce the interval matrix multiplication to 9 floating-point matrix products - for performance issues - without sacrificing the quality of the result ...

Algorithms for matrix multiplication via sampling and opportunistic matrix multiplication [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023
Karppa & Kaski (2019) proposed a novel ``broken or ``opportunistic matrix multiplication algorithm, based on a variant of Strassen\u27s algorithm, and used this to develop new algorithms for Boolean matrix multiplication, among other tasks.

Optimisation of constant matrix multiplication operation hardware using a genetic algorithm [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
The efficient design of multiplierless implementations of constant matrix multipliers is challenged by the huge solution search spaces even for small scale problems.

An epithelial GPR35 isoform supports tumor‐associated transcriptional and metabolic phenotypes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
GPR35 generates two functionally distinct isoforms with previously unresolved roles. GPR35‐short mediates immune‐cell chemotaxis, while GPR35‐long is enriched in colorectal cancer epithelium, where it supports increased metabolism, proliferation, and tumor‐associated transcriptional programs.

Interval fuzzy matrix equations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
summary:This paper deals with the solvability of interval matrix equations in fuzzy algebra. Fuzzy algebra is the algebraic structure in which the classical addition and multiplication are replaced by maximum and minimum, respectively.

Ligand‐dependent transcriptional heterogeneity in cell cycle gene expression delays G1/S entry

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
EGF and HRG induce distinct G1/S progression programs in ErbB2‐amplified BT474 breast cancer cells. Despite activating the potent ErbB2–ErbB3 heterodimer, HRG does not accelerate cell‐cycle entry. Instead, EGF promotes earlier restriction‐point passage via ERK–FOS signaling, whereas HRG activates the AKT–MYC axis, driving transcriptional heterogeneity ...

Inhibition of cyclin‐dependent kinases 12/13 using CT7439 as a treatment for colorectal cancer with CDK12 upregulation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The proposed mechanism of action for the CDK12/13 inhibitor and cyclin K degrader, CT7439. CDK12/13 inhibition interrupts transcription elongation, leading to increased DNA damage that results in cell death. This agent is a potentially novel treatment option for patients with colorectal cancer. Created in BioRender. Cyclin‐dependent kinase (CDK) 12 and

UniHENN: Designing Faster and More Versatile Homomorphic Encryption-Based CNNs Without im2col

open access: yesIEEE Access
Homomorphic encryption (HE) enables privacy-preserving deep learning by allowing computations on encrypted data without decryption. However, deploying convolutional neural networks (CNNs) with HE is challenging due to the need to convert input data into ...

Avidin is evolutionarily conserved in fish but dispensable for development and resistance against Streptococcus agalactiae in zebrafish

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The presence of biotin‐binding avidin proteins in fish and their biological significance are poorly characterized. We cataloged fish avidins and demonstrate that they are widely present and evolutionarily conserved. We created avd knockout zebrafish and show that zebavidin is dispensable for development and that resistance of avd knockout embryos in ...
