Intervention in Power Control Games With Selfish Users [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
We study the power control problem in wireless ad hoc networks with selfish users. Without incentive schemes, selfish users tend to transmit at their maximum power levels, causing significant interference to each other. In this paper, we study a class of incentive schemes based on intervention to induce selfish users to transmit at desired power levels.

Analyzing Semantic Faithfulness of Language Models via Input Intervention on Question Answering [PDF]

open access: yesComputational Linguistics (2023), 2022
Transformer-based language models have been shown to be highly effective for several NLP tasks. In this paper, we consider three transformer models, BERT, RoBERTa, and XLNet, in both small and large versions, and investigate how faithful their representations are with respect to the semantic content of texts.
