[Neuroradiologic treatment possibilities of intervertebral disk displacement].
Wiener klinische Wochenschrift, 1992A CT assisted method for automated percutaneous lumbar discectomy (APLD) is described. With this technique and introduction of a "pull and push" method as well extruded and sequestrated herniated lumbar discs as cervical herniated discs can be treated. The CT assisted discectomy was performed in 70 patients.

[Intervertebral disk displacement in children and young adults].

Besides a detailed anamnesis, the preoperative diagnosis was mainly based on general medical and neurological findings as well as X-ray pictures of the lumbar vertebral column.

[Etiology of the recurrence of lumbar intervertebral disk displacement].
Neurochirurgia, 1989In a review for reasons of 100 disc prolapses reoperations we found in 62% a recurrence of disc prolapse at the same level, in 24% a recurrence at a different level, whereas in 14% we found that the nerve route was closely connected. We reoperated 44% in the first two years and 69% in the first five years.

[Surgical treatment of cervical intervertebral disk displacement].
Wiener medizinische Wochenschrift (1946), 1991Between the years 1976 und 1989 147 patients were operated on cervical disc herniation at the Neurosurgical Clinic of Innsbruck. 122 of these cases underwent a posterior approach according to Frykholm, 25 patients were treated by an anterior approach according to Cloward and Smith and Robinson, respectively.

[Surgical treatment of cervical intervertebral disk displacement].

The operation were made by ventral approach, with discectomy, resection of the posterior longitudinal ligament and of the bone osteophytes, as well as with spinal fusion with autologeous bone graft.
