Congenital intestinal fistula with exomphalos minor
Pediatric Surgery International, 2006Minor degrees of exomphalos have been known to be associated with vitellointestinal duct anomalies. The most frequent association is Meckel's diverticulum. It is unusual for a fistula to be communicating directly with the exomphalos sac. We report five neonates that presented with a fistula on the exomphalos sac over a 10-year period.

Intestinal fistula complicating necrotizing pancreatitis
The American Journal of Surgery, 1989Eight of 17 patients with necrotizing pancreatitis (47 percent) developed 12 intestinal fistulas. Pancreatitis occurred most often secondary to alcohol abuse, and fistula complicated controlled open drainage of the lesser sac more often than sump or Penrose drainage of the lesser sac.
