Pediatric Complications of Automated Tympanostomy Tube Systems: MAUDE Analysis and Systematic Review

open access: yesThe Laryngoscope, EarlyView.
Automated tympanostomy tube delivery systems (TDS) were developed to streamline in‐office procedures, but their effectiveness remains uncertain due to challenges with achieving adequate anesthesia and immobility in pediatric patients. While postprocedural complication rates were comparable to traditional tympanostomy tubes, concerns regarding ...

Development of a Wine By‐Product‐Based Beverage and Study of Its Potential to Postprandial Glycemia Regulation in Healthy Individuals: A Proof of Concept Study

open access: yesMolecular Nutrition &Food Research, Volume 69, Issue 14, July 2025.
The postprandial glycemia of healthy adults is not downregulated by the coadministration of a sugar solution and a wine by‐product enriched beverage due to the high variability in the response. Blood phenolic compounds of responders’ volunteers are not associated with the reduction effect of postprandial hyperglycemia.

Central line–associated bloodstream infections and complications in adult home parenteral nutrition: Observations from a quality improvement initiative

open access: yesNutrition in Clinical Practice, EarlyView.
Abstract The literature is inconsistent regarding differences in infection risk between central venous catheter types used for home parenteral nutrition (HPN). Our goal was to determine if significant differences exist in rates of infection and other complications between peripherally inserted central catheters, tunneled central venous catheters, and ...
