We generated multi‐tissue single‐cell transcriptomic atlases of camels and cattle, uncovering conserved and lineage‐specific cellular features across digestive and metabolic systems. Cross‐species comparisons revealed the evolutionary origin of the camel glandular sac and identified novel cell populations linked to physiological specialization ...

Analysis of surgical complications after 397 hepatic transplantations [PDF]
The results of 397 consecutive orthotopic hepatic transplantations in 333 recipients were reviewed. One or more surgical complications developed in 172 of 323 patients (55 per cent), excluding ten intraoperative deaths. The six month mortality rate among

Cellular Identity Crisis: RD3 Loss Fuels Plasticity and Immune Silence in Progressive Neuroblastoma
Researchers discovered that therapy‐induced loss of RD3 protein in neuroblastoma triggers a dangerous shift: cancer cells become more stem‐like, invasive, and resistant to treatment while evading immune detection. RD3 loss suppresses antigen presentation and boosts immune checkpoints, creating an immune‐silent environment.

Enteric neuropathy – when a surgeon is not immediately needed
Peripheral neuropathies with involvement of the autonomic nervous system are a recognized cause of gastrointestinal dysmotility. We describe a patient with chronic intestinal pseudo-obstruction (CIPO) in the course of chronic inflammatory demyelinating ...

In this study, the orange‐muscle giant abalone (Haliotis gigantea) is used as a model to identify a non‐coding SNP that disrupts the interaction between ITGA8 pre‐mRNA and the splicing factor ILF2, leading to altered ITGA8 splicing. These splicing changes promote carotenoid accumulation in abalone muscle through the regulation of tissue remodeling ...

H2S‐Releasing Aspirin Nanoparticles Alleviate Endometriosis and Associated Anxiety
Albumin nanoparticles loaded with an H2S‐releasing aspirin derivative (ACS14) hitchhiking neutrophils after intraperitoneal injection and preferentially accumulate in endometriosis lesions in mice. The treatment suppresses lesion growth by regulating PI3K/Akt and reduces inflammation by inhibiting NF‐κB.

Machine Learning‐Guided Engineering of Protein Phase Separation Properties in Immune Regulation
PScalpel, a machine learning model integrating protein structure extraction, graph contrastive learning, and a genetic algorithm, guides the engineering of protein phase separation ability. It adopts transfer learning methods to provide predictive recommendations for protein phase separation ability changes through single amino acid mutations in a ...

Protein complexes like KIBRA‐PKMζ are crucial for maintaining memories, forming month‐long protein traces in memory‐tagged neurons, but conventional RNA‐seq analysis fails to detect their transcript changes, leaving memory molecules undetected in the shadows of abundantly‐expressed genes.
