Clade III Synthases Add Cyclic and Linear Terpenoids to the Psilocybe Metabolome
The Psilocybe cubensis terpene synthases, CubB‐CubE, were investigated. Product formation assays identified CubB as a (3R,6E)‐(‐)‐nerolidol or linalool synthase, whereas CubC is a multiproduct synthase catalyzing the formation of β‐caryophyllene and other linear and cyclic sesquiterpenes/‐terpenoids.

The three peptides RGD, DGEA, and KKGHK are covalently attached to the 2D nanomaterial graphene oxide (GO) to create new biomaterials for the treatment of severe bone injuries. These GO modifications improve cell spreading, stem cell differentiation into bone cell types, and formation of blood vessel‐like structures.

Lignin‐polycaprolactone (PCL) copolymers were prepared using a highly efficient and nontoxic zinc catalyst. The reaction kinetics were investigated and differ from those usually observed in ring‐opening polymerization. Depending on the chain length of the copolymer, an acceleration of the reaction was found.
