Intra-Individual Variation in Oculomotor Performance in Man
Acta Oto-Laryngologica, 1983Peak velocity of saccade, maximum velocity of smooth pursuit, and peak velocity of slow phase of vestibular and optovestibular nystagmus were measured three times daily on three separate days in 6 healthy subjects in order to estimate the intra-individual variation of the results of oculomotor tests.

Intra-individual variation in creatinine and cystatin C
Clinical Chemical Laboratory Medicine, 2007Serum creatinine and cystatin C are measured in the assessment of glomerular filtration rate. Biological variation of an analyte is an important determinant of its usefulness. Intra-individual variation in serum creatinine and cystatin C in healthy subjects was determined in this study.Weekly blood samples were taken from 10 healthy subjects and ...

Intra-Individual Variation and Estimates of Usual Physical Activity
Annals of Epidemiology, 1999The magnitude of intra-individual variation, as determined by three methods of physical activity (PA) assessment, was estimated to determine the optimal number of repeated measures needed to reliably measure an individual's usual PA habits.Data were obtained from 77 healthy adults enrolled in the Survey of Activity, Fitness, and Exercise (SAFE). PA was

Intra-Individual Variation in Bone Resorption Markers in Urine
Annals of Clinical Biochemistry: International Journal of Laboratory Medicine, 1996Osteoporosis, an increasingly common health problem, is the result of the continuous loss of bone during adult life, which is accelerated in women after the menopause. This additional bone loss is of variable length and intensity, resulting in 'fast-losers' and 'normal-losers'.

Intra-individual variation in the metabolism of inorganic arsenic
International Archives of Occupational and Environmental Health, 2002Inorganic arsenic is metabolized to methylarsonic acid (MMA) and dimethylarsinic acid (DMA), which are excreted in the urine. Previous studies have shown a marked inter-individual variation in the metabolism, but the within-person variation is unknown.

Intra‐individual variations of salivary microbial levels in young adults
European Journal of Oral Sciences, 1998The variations of salivary levels of total viable flora, oral streptococci, Streptococcus mutans, Lactobacillus and Candida in twenty-three subjects, over a 6-month period, trying to control many potential sources of variability, were investigated. Most subjects showed log count variations of the microbial parameters larger than 1.

Estimation of Subject-Specific Heritabilities From Intra-Individual Variation: iFACE
Twin Research and Human Genetics, 2012A new genetic factor model for multivariate phenotypic time series, iFACE, is presented which allows for the estimation of subject-specific model parameters of genetic and environmental factors. The iFACE was applied to multivariate EEG registrations obtained with single dizygotic twin pairs.

Eleven male and 7 female student subjects underwent serial Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC) measurements after being given alcohol as 13% white wine (5.7 ml/kg for males and 4.7 ml/kg for females) in a fasting state on three separate occasions. BrAC versus time curves were constructed for each subject and the values of peak BrAC (Cmax), theoretical ...

Inter-individual Variations in Intra-individual Shape Change Patterns
SAE Technical Paper Series, 2006<div class="htmlview paragraph">Using multiple body scans of 20 adult females, inter-individual body shape change patterns were analyzed. A homologous shape model was created for each body scan, and intra-individual shape change pattern before and after a sliming program was formulated using a deformed grid of FFD.
