Ursolic Acid Alleviates Orchitis via Modulating Ferroptosis in Peritubular Myoid Cells of Testis

open access: yesAnimal Research and One Health, EarlyView.
Ursolic acid modulates key ferroptosis‐related pathways in the peritubular myoid cells of the testis in forest musk deer. ABSTRACT Chronic stress adversely affects reproductive health, increasing susceptibility to pathologies such as orchitis. Additionally, the maintenance of iron homeostasis is essential for preserving the function of the testicles ...

Influence of Cultivars and Intra Row Spacing on Performance of Maize in Keiyo North Sub-County, Kenya

open access: yesEast African Journal of Agriculture and Biotechnology
Maize is a major crop grown in Kenya for human and animal feed. Its production is determined by farming practices such as plant population, climatic factors, pests, diseases and nutrition, among others. Farmers grow maize varieties and are subject to the same spacing, yet they have varying nutrient requirements, resulting in low yields.

Tissue‐Specific and Spatially Dependent Metabolic Signatures Perturbed by Injury in Male and Female Mice

open access: yesArthritis &Rheumatology, EarlyView.
Objective Osteoarthritis, the leading cause of disability worldwide, disproportionately affects women, yet sex remains an overlooked determinant. This disparity stems from sex‐specific differences in injury susceptibility—a major risk factor for disease.

autoscoRA: Deep Learning to Automate Sharp/van der Heijde Scoring of Radiographic Damage in Rheumatoid Arthritis

open access: yesArthritis &Rheumatology, EarlyView.
Objective Regular imaging by conventional radiography to assess for joint damage is a cornerstone in the management of rheumatoid arthritis. Scoring systems to quantify such damage, such as the widely used Sharp/van der Heijde (SvdH) score, are limited by the requirement of time and experienced staff as well as intra‐ and interrater variability.

Comparative evaluation of radiological anatomy knowledge and accuracy of ChatGPT‐5, Gemini 2.5, and Grok 4 across normal and thinking modes

open access: yesAnatomical Sciences Education, EarlyView.
Workflow for comparing three LLMs in radiographic anatomical identification using 30 radiographs and 196 anatomy questions across Normal and Thinking modes, with expert scoring and temporal consistency analysis. Abstract This study compared the performance of three large language models, ChatGPT‐5 Plus, Gemini 2.5 Pro, and SuperGrok 4, in identifying ...

Intra row spacing effect on shelf life of onion varieties (Allium cepa L.) at Aksum, Northern Ethiopia

open access: yes, 2013
A field experiment was conducted to investigate the influence of intra-row spacing and, variety on yield and shelf life of onion. The study was conducted between August 2010 and April 2011 at Aksum area (Laelay Maichew District).

A compatibility criterion for optimal control and information aggregation in hierarchical network systems

open access: yesAsian Journal of Control, EarlyView.
Abstract Large swarms often adopt a hierarchical network structure that incorporates information aggregation. Although this approach offers significant advantages in terms of communication efficiency and computational complexity, it can also lead to degradation due to information constraints.

Intra‐articular Proximal Biceps Tenotomy With Extra‐articular Transfer: A Technique to Repair Full‐thickness Rotator Cuff Tears

open access: yesArthroscopy Techniques, EarlyView.
Abstract The long head of the biceps tendon (LHBT), as a tendinous structure adjacent to the rotator cuff, can be easily used to repair the rotator cuff. Currently, there are many different surgical procedures for the LHBT. Direct severance of the LHBT is simple but may result in pain and deformity, and fixation of the LHBT wastes the tendinous tissue ...
