Subtype‐specific enhancer RNAs define transcriptional regulators and prognosis in breast cancers
This study employed machine learning methodologies to perform the subtype‐specific classification of RNA‐seq data sets, which are mapped on enhancers from TCGA‐derived breast cancer patients. Their integration with gene expression (referred to as ProxCReAM eRNAs) and chromatin accessibility profiles has the potential to identify lineage‐specific and ...

Fast Depth Intra Coding Based on Decision Tree in 3D-HEVC
The coding units (CU) partitioning in the 3D extension of the high efficiency video coding standard (3D-HEVC) is recursively conducted on different block sizes from 64 × 64 to 8 × 8.

RIPK4 function interferes with melanoma cell adhesion and metastasis
RIPK4 promotes melanoma growth and spread. RIPK4 levels increase as skin lesions progress to melanoma. CRISPR/Cas9‐mediated deletion of RIPK4 causes melanoma cells to form less compact spheroids, reduces their migratory and invasive abilities and limits tumour growth and dissemination in mouse models.

A fast block partitioning algorithm for VVC intra coding based on depthwise separable convolution
The joint video exploration team (JVET) proposed versatile video coding (VVC) as a new video coding standard, and its quadtree plus multi-type tree (QTMTT) partition structure brings effective coding performance improvements. However, it brings about a ...

A Low Complexity Algorithm for 3D-HEVC Depth Map Intra Coding Based on MAD and ResNet
As an extension of HEVC, 3D-HEVC retains the quadtree structure inherent to HEVC and is currently recognized as the most widely adopted international standard for stereoscopic video coding. In intra coding, quadtree partitioning is determined recursively

Joint Source Channel Rate-Distortion Analysis for Adaptive Mode Selection and Rate Control in Wireless Video Coding [PDF]
DOI 10.1109/TCSVT.2002.800313In this paper, we first develop a rate-distortion (R-D) model for DCT-based video coding incorporating the macroblock (MB) intra refreshing rate.

Remote Assessment of Ataxia Severity in SCA3 Across Multiple Centers and Time Points
ABSTRACT Objective Spinocerebellar ataxia type 3 (SCA3) is a genetically defined ataxia. The Scale for Assessment and Rating of Ataxia (SARA) is a clinician‐reported outcome that measures ataxia severity at a single time point. In its standard application, SARA fails to capture short‐term fluctuations, limiting its sensitivity in trials.
