Non-Ideal Thermodynamic Models of Cryobiological Solutions and the Intracellular Space

2019
Mathematical models of cryopreservation processes are an important tool in the development of cryopreservation protocols that successfully avoid cryoinjury. Theoretical models of solution thermodynamic behaviour, known as solution theories, lie at the core of many cryopreservation models, including those that simulate the cellular osmotic response ...

[Distribution of water between the extracellular and intracellular space in rats].

Fiziologicheskii zhurnal SSSR imeni I. M. Sechenova, 1978
In anesthetized rats the renal pedicules were clamped and the solution with THO, antipyrine, thyocyanate, inulin, 22Na, 36Cl, 82Br was injected into the tail artery. The space of distribution of THO was 65.1% body weight, antipyrine--81.9%. The volumes of distribution of 22Na (27.4%) and thyocyanate (26.9%) were higher than the 36Cl (24.8%) and 82Br ...

Intracellular, interstitial and plasma spaces in the rat myocardium in vivo.

Journal of molecular and cellular cardiology, 1998
The aim of this study was to determine tissue water spaces in rat heart in vivo using [14C]-inulin or D-[14C]-mannitol as extracellular markers, and 2,3DPG as whole blood tissue marker. Tracer was injected into the jugular vein of anaesthetised male Sprague-Dawley rats (60 mg/kg) and allowed to equilibrate for 30 min.

Automated identification of mitochondrial regions in complex intracellular space by texture analysis

SPIE Proceedings, 2014
Automated processing and quantification of biological images have been rapidly increasing the attention of researchers in image processing and pattern recognition because the roles of computerized image and pattern analyses are critical for new biological findings and drug discovery based on modern high-throughput and highcontent image screening.
