Intracranial chondromas are rare lesions. Four new cases are added to the previously recorded 122 cases. These tumors originate from rests of cartilaginous cells at sphenoethmoidal and sphenooccipital synchondroses. Clinically, the major symptom is lower cranial nerve palsy; proptosis and visual impairment can also occur.

Intracranial Dural-based Convexity Chondroma
Neurology India, 2020Intracranial chondromas arising from the convexity with dural attachments are extremely rare tumors with scarce reports in the literature. They have atypical radiological findings that can often preclude the preoperative diagnosis. Complete resection is treatment with a good prognosis.

Surgical neurology, 1977
Two cases of intracranial chondroma are reported. In both cases, the tumor was located extradurally in the middle cranial fossa. The tumors were removed piecemeal, but total removal proved to be impossible.

Intracranial chondromas: A histopathologic and molecular study of three cases
Clinical Neuropathology, 2020Meningeal chondromas constitute a small fraction of central nervous system tumors, with only 61 cases reported in the literature. Somatic mutations of IDH1/2 genes have been described in enchondromas, and, in soft-tissue chondromas, rearrangements of the HMGA2 gene have been reported.

Intracranial chondroma in a patient with Ollier's disease
Journal of Neurosurgery, 1989✓ A case is presented in which a solitary chondroma arose from the clivus of a patient with Ollier's disease. These tumors are rare. The diagnostic value of computerized tomography and magnetic resonance imaging is discussed.

Characteristic CT and MRI Findings of Intracranial Chondroma
Acta Radiologica, 2012Intracranial chondromas are rare benign tumors. To date, few data are available on their neuroradiological features. To describe a series of patients with intracranial chondroma and to analyze and discuss the computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) features that may distinguish chondromas from other intracranial neoplasms. We ...

INTRACRANIAL SOLITARY CHONDROMA OF DURAL ORIGIN
American Journal of Roentgenology, 1970The rare occurrence of an intracranial parasagittal chondroma of dural origin is reported. The clinical, radiographic and surgical features are illustrated. The possible etiology of this intracranial cartilaginous tumor is reviewed and similarities to meningiomas are noted.
