Timing of Thrombosis in Embolization of Unruptured Intracranial Aneurysms
Clinical Neuroradiology, 2020Thrombosis is one of the main complications of endovascular treatment for unruptured intracranial aneurysms (UIA). This article reports the timing and initial location of thrombosis and prognosis after the use of tirofiban for performing coil embolization for UIA.This study retrospectively collected 1686 cases of intracranial aneurysms treated with ...

Background: Identification of occlusion mechanism before endovascular treatment (EVT) is of great significance for intracranial large vessel occlusion stroke (ILVOs). Cardioembolism occlusion and large-artery atherosclerosis are the two common etiologies of ILVOs. However, there is few of valid methods to predict the two etiologies of ILVOs before EVT.

An electronic radiographic technique which utilizes a television fluoroscopic system coupled with a disc recorder is described. Images from this system can be combined with live fluoroscopic images, allowing rapid and accurate catheterization of intracerebral arteries in embolization of cerebral artery arteriovenous malformations.

Intrinsic thrombosis and stenosis are complications associated with the use of neck-remodeling devices in the treatment of intracranial aneurysms. To examine the technical and anatomic factors that predict short- and long-term stent patency. We undertook a retrospective review of 161 patients who underwent coil embolization of 168 ruptured and unruptured
