Multiple Myeloma with Intracytoplasmic Azurophilic Granules

open access: yesInternational Journal of Hematology-Oncology and Stem Cell Research, 2019
Bone marrow examination plays an important role in the diagnosis of multiple myeloma. In some cases with multiple myeloma, marrow plasma cells with cytoplasmic inclusions are seen. In this study, a 46-year- old man was evaluated for multiple myeloma.

Development of a nomogram for sperm retrieval at microTESE for idiopathic non‐obstructive azoospermia in a multi‐center cohort study

open access: yesAndrology, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Non‐obstructive azoospermia (NOA) affects approximately 10% of infertile men and represents a major challenge in assisted reproductive technology (ART). A model that includes histological variants could be helpful in predicting sperm retrieval rate (SRR) after microdissection testicular sperm extraction (mTESE) in patients affected ...

Sperm Retrieval in Non-Azoospermic Patients with Intact Ejaculation: A Narrative Review [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Fertility and Sterility
Although existing research on sperm retrieval predominantly focuses on azoospermic patients, assisted reproductive technology(ART) candidates without azoospermia may still face challenges during oocyte retrieval.

Collection and freezing of equine epididymal spermatozoa [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
The epididymis and vas deferens store an important number of fertile spermatozoa called the extragonadal sperm reserves. These stored spermatozoa can be collected in an ultimate attempt to preserve viable spermatozoa of a critically ill or dying stallion.

Intracytoplasmic immunofluorescence in multiple myeloma [PDF]

open access: yesCytometry, 1980
AbstractA new intracytoplasmic immunofluorescence staining procedure has been investigated to detect and quantify myeloma cells by means of flow cytometry. Freshly harvested bone marrow aspirations from 12 patients with multiple myeloma were treated with collagenase and Triton X‐100, and incubated with different specimens of fluoroisothiocyanate‐marked

Rapid generation of prion disease models using AAV‐delivered PrP variants in knockout mice

open access: yesBrain Pathology, EarlyView.
We developed a rapid AAV‐based system to generate prion disease models in weeks rather than months. Following systemic AAV9P31 delivery of modified PrP to knockout mice, we achieved brain‐wide expression and successful propagation of both classical (RML) and atypical (GSS‐A117V) prion strains.

Transcription Factor TCF12‐Mediated Maternal Gene Expressions in Mouse Oocyte Are Prerequisites of Successful Fertilisation and Zygotic Genome Activation

open access: yesCell Proliferation, EarlyView.
Maternal TCF12 ensures the competence of fertilisation by controlling the expression of Astl and the proper location of cortical granules. Furthermore, maternal TCF12 maintains the phosphatase activity of PP2A by regulating the expression of Arpp19. Oocyte‐specific deletion of Tcf12 leads to fertilisation defects as well as ZGA failure at the 2‐cell ...
