IgM-producing tumors in the BALB/c mouse: a model for B-cell maturation [PDF]

open access: yes, 1974
Five adjuvant induced BALB/c tumors producing IgM—McPc 1748, W 3469, TEPC 183, McPc 774, and Y 5781—were characterized morphologically by electron microscopy, analysis of the distribution of surface-bound and intracytoplasmic IgM using immunofluorescence,

Comparison of Day 14 Serum Progesterone Level Based on Pregnancy Outcome in Patients Undergoing Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection Cycles [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Kerman University of Medical Sciences, 2015
Background & Aims: Serum progesterone level (as early as 4 weeks gestation) reflects the relation between embryo and corpus luteum. The purpose of the present study was to compare serum progesterone level on day 14 after embryo transfer among 3 groups of

Fluorescence‐based analysis of the intracytoplasmic membranes of type I methanotrophs

open access: yesMicrobial Biotechnology, 2019
Summary Most methanotrophic bacteria maintain intracytoplasmic membranes which house the methane‐oxidizing enzyme, particulate methane monooxygenase. Previous studies have primarily used transmission electron microscopy or cryo‐electron microscopy to ...

Comparative Evaluation of Two Microfluidic Sperm Sorting Devices: Laboratory Assessment of Sperm Quality and Retrospective Analysis of Embryological Outcomes Following Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection. [PDF]

open access: yesReprod Med Biol
ABSTRACT Purpose Density gradient centrifugation (DGC) enriches motile sperm but may increase sperm DNA fragmentation (SDF), whereas microfluidic sperm sorting devices, such as ZyMōt and CA0, enable centrifugation‐free selection with lower SDF. Direct comparisons are limited, and their relative clinical efficacy remains unclear.

Machine learning in predicting infertility treatment success: A systematic literature review of techniques

open access: yesJournal of Education and Health Promotion
Assisted reproductive technology (ART) is one of the major developments that has had a significant impact on infertility treatment. A predictive model of ART success based on machine learning (ML) techniques can provide a robust basis for estimating ...

Ebola Virus Localization in the Macaque Reproductive Tract during Acute Ebola Virus Disease. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Sexual transmission of Ebola virus (EBOV) has been demonstrated more than a year after recovery from the acute phase of Ebola virus disease (EVD). The mechanisms underlying EBOV persistence and sexual transmission are not currently understood.

IGF‐1 Deficiency Serves as an Integrated Biomarker Pathogenic Driver and Predictor in Poor Ovarian Response

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
IGF‐1 deficiency underlies poor ovarian response (POR), as reduced levels in follicular fluid and granulosa cells impair antral follicle formation and compromise reproductive outcomes. Including IGF‐1 as a biomarker significantly enhances the accuracy of models predicting both PORrisk and pregnancy success.

Mapping the Non‐Canonical Splicing Variants: Decrypting the Hidden Genetic Architecture of Idiopathic Male Infertility

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study highlights the significance of non‐canonical splicing variants in male infertility, a factor often overlooked during the analysis of high‐throughput sequencing data. Incorporating the non‐canonical splicing variants prioritization in the genetic analysis pipeline will increase the genetic diagnosis of patients with male infertility ...
