Intraductal Papillary Mucinous Neoplasm and Acute Pancreatitis
Journal of Clinical Gastroenterology, 2011Intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms (IPMNs) are cystic pancreatic tumors that arise from the pancreatic ducts and are increasingly reported worldwide. Both benign and malignant tumors of the pancreas are thought to contribute to recurrent pancreatitis possibly by pancreatic duct obstruction, and IPMNs contribute to a major share of this burden ...

Familial intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms of the pancreas
Digestive and Liver Disease, 2012The prevalence of intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms in patients with a high risk of pancreatic adenocarcinoma was estimated to be 15%. However, a familial form of intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms was never described.Three families (8 patients) with intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms familial forms were described. Diagnosis was made

Photodynamic therapy of intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm
Endoscopy, 2012Intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm (IPMN) of the main pancreatic duct is usually treated by surgical excision of the affected pancreas. Nonoperative ablative therapies have not been described. We treated IPMN of the pancreatic duct with photodynamic therapy (PDT) in a patient who was a poor operative candidate.

Senescence in intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm of the pancreas
Human Pathology, 2011Intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm of the pancreas is attracting attention as a precursor lesion of the invasive ductal adenocarcinoma, whereas it has been reported that some intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms do not display progression to malignancy and remain almost unchanged in size and morphology.

Management of Intraductal Papillary Mucinous Neoplasms
2019Intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms (IPMN) of the pancreas are rare entities that can present complex diagnostic and therapeutic dilemmas for the clinician. Diagnosis is often made incidentally on cross-sectional imaging, as the clinical symptoms arising from IPMN are often vague and nonspecific.

Hereditary intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm of the pancreas
Clinics and Research in Hepatology and Gastroenterology, 2012Intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm (IPMN) is a rare pancreatic tumor defined as intraductal mucin-producting neoplasm with tall, columnar, mucin-containing epithelium. IPMN have already been described in association with inherited genetic disorder including familial adenomatous polyposis and Peutz-Jeghers syndrome.
