Lung-preserving surgery is comparable to lobectomy for intralobar pulmonary sequestration: A retrospective case seriesCentral MessagePerspective [PDF]

open access: yesJTCVS Techniques
Objectives: This study aimed to compare perioperative outcomes and recovery of lung-preserving surgery in patients with intralobar pulmonary sequestration, providing insights into surgical management strategies.

Embolization of symptomatic intralobar pulmonary sequestration – A minimally invasive treatment option

open access: yesRadiology Case Reports, 2019
The growing field of interventional radiology provides a number of treatment options alternative to previous relied upon invasive surgeries. Pulmonary sequestration is a condition where the option of interventional radiology is particularly promising ...

Thoracoscopic Segmentectomy for Pulmonary Sequestration Supplied by Aberrant Celiac Trunk. [PDF]

open access: yesRespirol Case Rep
We report a rare case of right intralobar pulmonary sequestration supplied by a large aberrant systemic artery arising from the celiac trunk. Preoperative three‐dimensional computed tomography (3DCT) enabled precise visualisation of the vascular anatomy and guided safe thoracoscopic basal segmentectomy using an intrathoracic peripheral control strategy.

Surgical treatment of lung sequestration [PDF]

open access: yesVojnosanitetski Pregled, 2008

Halos and Hemoptysis: A Case of Intrapulmonary Sequestration Masquerading as a Pulmonary Aspergilloma. [PDF]

open access: yesCase Rep Pulmonol
Introduction Bronchopulmonary sequestration (BPS) is a rare congenital malformation of the lung characterized by nonfunctional pulmonary tissue without communication to the tracheobronchial tree and with anomalous arterial supply. Intralobar sequestration (ILS), the more common form, typically presents in childhood or early adulthood.

Surgical Management of Congenital Lung Malformations in Children-A Single-Center Analysis of 25 Years of Experience. [PDF]

open access: yesClin Respir J
Early diagnosis and intervention are critical for improving prognosis in children with congenital lung malformations (CLM). Fetal diagnosis of CLM generally leads to favorable outcomes; however, there is limited evidence on the effectiveness of fetal therapy in improving outcomes for these anomalies.

Pulmonary sequestration mimicring lun cancer: A case report [PDF]

open access: yesVojnosanitetski Pregled, 2016
Introduction. Pulmonary sequestration is a rare congenital anomaly and most intralobar sequestrations were located in lower lobes. Case report. We reported an unusual 28-yearold female patient with intralobar pulmonary sequestration on the left lower ...
