Intramolecular hydrogen bond in ortho-hydroxyazobenzenes
Journal of the Chemical Society, Faraday Transactions 2, 1980The intramolecular hydrogen bonding in ortho-hydroxyazobenzenes has been studied by means of CNDO/2 calculations. The strength of the hydrogen bonding is calculated as 8–9 kcal mol–1(1 kcal ≈ 4.184 kJ) and compares well with the available experimental data.

On intramolecular and intermolecular hydrogen bonding
Fluid Phase Equilibria, 1999Abstract Intramolecular hydrogen bonding is often an important contribution to the overall hydrogen bonding in fluid systems, especially in systems of biological interest. Of interest is the case of very dilute systems in inert solvents where intermolecular hydrogen bonding is absent and the only observed hydrogen bonds are the intramolecular ones ...

Intramolecular hydrogen bonding of ?-hydroxypentanoic acid
International Journal of Quantum Chemistry, 1995Six symmetry-unique local minima of δ-hydroxypentanoic acid, which are stabilized by an intramolecular O HOCO hydrogen bond, were located by ab initio self-consistent field (restricted Hartree–Fock) calculations. The geometry data and hydrogen bond parameters of these conformers are presented together with the potential barriers for the various ...
