Intraocular Hemangiopericytoma
Archives of Ophthalmology, 1983A 40-year-old woman had an intraocular lesion consistent with a choroidal hemangioma. Xenon arc photocoagulation was applied to reduce subretinal fluid, and the lesion remained stationary until the patient's death eight years later. The lesion was composed of spindle-shaped and ovoid cells with numerous inconspicuous capillaries.

The clinical and histologic features of an intraocular parasite from a 29-year-old woman are reported. The live organism was located in the posterior vitreous near the optic disc and was successfully removed by vitreous aspiration. The parasite was identified as an advanced stage larvae of Gnathostoma spinigerum.

Intraocular antibody production in intraocular inflammation
Graefe's Archive for Clinical and Experimental Ophthalmology, 2000The production of intraocular antibodies is considered a specific marker for active infectious uveitis. The aim of our study was to evaluate the diagnostic value of aqueous humor analysis in consecutive patients referred to a tertiary clinical center. We analyzed 91 paired aqueous humor/serum samples from 89 patients with intraocular inflammation. In 71

Effect of Intraocular Gas on Intraocular Pressure
Archives of Ophthalmology, 1976The problems encountered in measuring intraocular pressure in eyes containing a compressible gas and the problem of determining the effect of changes in ambient atmospheric pressure on such eyes have been studied experimentally in enucleated human eyes and living rabbit eyes, and studied theoretically using the Friedenwald pressure-volume relationship,
