Staging concept for aging management: Definition, mechanism, and coping strategies

open access: yesVIEW, Volume 7, Issue 4, August 2026.
We divided the overall aging stage into “pre‐aging”, “aging compensation”, and “aging disability”. For each stage, we delineate the clinical presentations, biological phenomena, theoretical underpinnings, and key management priorities. Abstract Aging, as a gradual and largely irreversible biological process, characterized by declining organismal ...

Intravitreal GD2‐Specific Chimeric Antigen Receptor T‐Cell Therapy for Refractory Retinoblastoma

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, Volume 73, Issue 7, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Effective treatments for advanced, treatment‐resistant retinoblastoma (RB) remain limited. GD2‐specific chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cells show potent antitumor activity with minimal toxicity but have not previously been evaluated in RB.

Calcification of hydrophilic intraocular lenses: Laboratory analysis and surgical technique for intraocular lens exchange

open access: yesJournal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery Online Case Reports, 2017
We present 2 cases of calcification of posterior chamber intraocular lenses (IOLs) that presented to the outpatient department of our institute with diminution of vision a few months after successful cataract surgery. Intraocular lens exchange with a hydrophobic IOL was performed in both cases, resulting in a restoration of vision.

Dislocated Posterior Chamber Intraocular Lens

open access: yes, 1989
• Posterior dislocation of an intraocular lens in the vitreous cavity is an uncommon but serious complication of the standard extracapsular surgical technique for cataract extraction with intraocular lens implantation. Described herein is a new technique

Establishing an objective decision criterion for intraocular lens exchange due to homogeneous calcification: a prospective clinical analysis

open access: yesEye and Vision
Background Homogeneous intraocular lens (IOL) calcification deteriorates patient’s visual quality. There is a lack of functional and patient-reported data on patients with this material change undergoing IOL exchange surgery. The aim of this study was to
