Premium Intraocular Lens Selection in Patients With Glaucoma: A Clinical Review
ABSTRACT Glaucoma frequently coexists with cataract, but glaucomatous functional loss, ocular‐surface disease, anatomical abnormalities, and treatment‐related refractive variability may reduce tolerance of premium intraocular lenses. This narrative review critically appraises evidence relevant to lens selection in glaucoma. Central visual‐field status,

Ocular Manifestations of Metabolic Syndrome: A Systemic Vascular Phenotype
ABSTRACT Context Metabolic syndrome (MetS) is defined by central obesity, insulin resistance, hypertension and dyslipidemia. MetS affects over one‐third of US adults. Beyond its cardiovascular burden, MetS has clinically relevant associations with ocular health and may contribute to a systemic vascular and neuro‐metabolic phenotype involving the retina,

Early oxidation‐related changes in aqueous humor following eye exposure to ultraviolet‐A radiation
UVA exposure induces early oxidative alterations in the aqueous humor, disrupting its antioxidant balance. Levels of ascorbic acid, reduced glutathione (GSH), and the GSH/GSSG ratio decrease, while oxidized glutathione (GSSG), S‐glutathionylated proteins (PSSG), and malondialdehyde (MDA), a lipid peroxidation by‐product, increase.

Retropupillary iris claw intraocular lens implantation in aphakia for dislocated intraocular lens
Nowadays, dislocated intraocular lenses (IOLs) and inadequate capsular support are becoming a challenge for every ophthalmic surgeon. Explantation of dislocated IOL and iris claw IOL (ICIOL) are the techniques that have been used in our ophthalmic department.

METHODS OF SURGICAL CORRECTION OF INTRAOCULAR LENS DISLOCATION AND APHACIA (review of literature)
Over the last several decades, there has been breakthrough in cataract surgery. The rate of intraoperative complications was minimized. One of the most common complications remained the intraocular lens (IOL) dislocations due to inadequate capsular bag ...
