Association of Intraocular Pressure With Human Immunodeficiency Virus [PDF]
PURPOSE: Prior studies have shown an association between human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and reduced intraocular pressures (IOP). The purpose of this study was to determine if patients with HIV on highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART) had any ...

Aqueous humor dynamics in human eyes: a lattice Boltzmann study [PDF]
This paper presents a lattice Boltzmann model to simulate the aqueous humor (AH) dynamics in the human eyes by involving incompressible Navier-Stokes flow, heat convection and diffusion, and Darcy seepage flow. Verifying simulations indicate that the model is stable, convergent and robust.

An anti‐inflammatory and antioxidant metal‐organic framework (MOF) nanoplatform was prepared via one‐pot self‐assembly. In vitro and in vivo studies demonstrated that the prepared MVPC nanoparticles can effectively scavenge overproduced reactive oxygen species at diseased sites, enhance IL‐10 secretion, and suppress VEGFA expression, offering a novel ...

Where does selective laser trabeculoplasty stand now? A review [PDF]
Background: Chronic treatment of glaucoma can present a challenge in patients who lack the means and/or the discipline to use daily glaucoma medication. We wondered if selective laser trabeculoplasty (SLT) could be a useful alternative.

Compact orthogonal view OCT: clinical exploration of human trabecular meshwork and cornea at cell resolution [PDF]
Glaucoma remains among the leading causes of blindness despite many treatment options available today. Effective treatment requires early diagnosis, which is difficult to achieve with existing imaging technologies that detect the already inflicted irreversible posterior eye damage.
