From Label‐Free Multiphoton Imaging to Pathological Reports: A Vision‐Language Breast Cancer Margin Pathological Diagnosis System

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
MarginPath is a novel vision‐language system that automates breast cancer margin assessment using a single label‐free multiphoton microscopy image. By integrating tumor‐associated collagen signatures with virtual H&E imaging, it generates accurate margin heatmaps and comprehensive diagnostic reports.

EAES classification of intraoperative adverse events in laparoscopic surgery

open access: yes, 2018
Background: Surgical outcomes are traditionally evaluated by post-operative data such as histopathology and morbidity. Although these outcomes are reported using accepted systems, their ability to influence operative performance is limited by their ...

Correlation between the Perfusion Index and Intraoperative Hypothermia: A Prospective Observational Pilot Study

open access: yes, 2021
Background and Objectives: We examined the association between the baseline perfusion index (PI) and changes in intraoperative body temperature during general anesthesia. The PI reflects the peripheral perfusion state.

Engineered Exosomal miR‐146a‐5p Reprograms BMSC Fate and Restores Mitochondrial Homeostasis in Glucocorticoid‐Induced Osteonecrosis of Femoral Head

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Exosomal miR‐146a‐5p is identified as a pivotal regulator in steroid‐induced osteonecrosis. Its reduction activates NF‐κB signaling, compromises mitophagy, and disrupts mitochondrial bioenergetics, resulting in autophagic disequilibrium. Engineered exosomes delivering miR‐146a‐5p reinstate mitochondrial function, augment oxidative phosphorylation and ...

Biodegradable Acoustic Targeting for Ultrasound‐Supported Gene Therapy (BATUS) in Glioblastoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Glioblastoma (GBM) remains one of the most challenging brain malignancies due to the restrictive nature of the blood–brain barrier (BBB), which severely limits effective drug and gene delivery. To overcome this, we introduce Biodegradable Acoustic Targeting for Ultrasound‐Supported Gene Therapy (BATUS), a modular platform that enables safe ...

Bioinspired Passive Flow Routing to Mitigate Thrombosis in Prosthetic Heart Valves and Cardiovascular Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Bioinspired passive flow routing mitigates thrombosis in cardiovascular devices by redirecting a small fraction of forward flow into stagnation‐prone regions. Inspired by avian alula and aircraft slat mechanisms, strategically placed routing channels restore washout around mechanical heart valves, reducing low‐shear exposure by four orders of magnitude
