The harmonic scalpel: An intraoperative complication

Despite its expanding surgical applications, there are no reports about associated complications.A 35-year-old woman sustained injury to the sigmoid colon from the use of the harmonic scalpel during laparoscopic lysis of pelvic adhesions.
