Intraspecific competition and components of niche width in age structured populations
Theoretical Population Biology, 1990A model is presented and analyzed which describes the growth dynamics of a population consisting of age classes among which exploitative competition occurs. Food resources are assumed to be limited. The animals live for several time units and grow continuously in size until they die.

Intraspecific variability and genetic structure in Meloidogyne chitwoodi from the USA
Nematology, 2013Meloidogyne chitwoodi is a quarantine pathogen and a severe problem of potato. Intraspecific variation and genetic structure are not well characterised for M. chitwoodi, but are critical to avoid misidentification and to optimise management strategies.

Effects of long-term intraspecific trait change on bird community functional structure
Current BiologyThere has been rapid intraspecific trait change in many species over the past few centuries. While the impacts of such long-term changes on community functional structure remain unclear, it is vital to evaluate and predict responses of biodiversity and ecosystem function to global change. We examined intraspecific trait changes of 548 bird species from

The Journal of Parasitology, 1992
The transmission pattern of Zonothrix columbianus (Nematoda: Oxyurida) in its host Tropisternus columbianus (Coleoptera: Hydrophilidae), an aquatic beetle, was studied to determine whether parasites were dispersed with their hosts and to examine the possible role of intraspecific competition in limiting population size.

The morphology and intraspecific structure of Triplophysa orientalis inhabiting the inland basins of Tsaidam (northeastern edge of the Tibetan Plateau) and the basin of the upper reach of the Huang He River in China were studied. Significant morphological differences between the populations from the inland basins and the Huang He River were revealed ...

Dynamics of Age- and Size-Structured Populations: Intraspecific Competition
1988In most organisms different aged individuals differ in size and morphology. In some taxa the body weight of individuals within species spans 4 or more orders of magnitude (Werner and Gilliam 1984). The radical changes in morphology accompanying metamorphosis in organisms with complex life cycles is well known to all biologists.

An intraspecific structure of Сicindela (s. str.) coerulea Pallas, 1773 (Coleoptera, Cicindelidae)
ZootaxaAn intraspecific structure of a widely distributed Asian species of tiger beetle, Сicindela coerulea Pallas, 1773, is revised and discussed. The neotype of Cicindela coerulea Pallas, 1773 as well as the lectotypes and paralectotypes of Cicindela optata Fischer von Waldheim, 1828, Cicindela przewalskii Dokhtouroff, 1887, Cicindela przewalskii var. grumi
