Effects of methotrexate on Wnt/β‐catenin signaling and glial activation in temporomandibular joint arthritis in rats

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Oral Sciences, Volume 133, Issue 6, December 2025.
Abstract Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic autoimmune disease that can affect the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) and cause pain. Methotrexate is widely used to control disease progression, but its effects on pain mechanisms are not fully understood. This study evaluated the antinociceptive effects of methotrexate on pain behavior, Wnt/β‐catenin pathway ...

MRI‐based surrogates of brain clearance in narcolepsy type 1

open access: yesJournal of Sleep Research, Volume 34, Issue 6, December 2025.
Summary Brain clearance involves the drainage of waste molecules from the brain, a process that is suggested to be amplified during sleep. Recently proposed MRI‐based methods attempt to approximate human brain clearance with surrogate measures. The current study aimed to explore whether two brain clearance surrogates are altered in narcolepsy.

A phase 2 trial of a “sandwich” strategy: Sequential CD22/CD19 chimeric antigen receptor T‐cells therapy combined with autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation in patients with Philadelphia chromosome–negative B‐cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia

open access: yesCancer, Volume 131, Issue 22, 15 November 2025.
Abstract Background The relapse after chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T‐cell therapy remains a critical challenge, and the optimal timing and treatment strategies for CAR T urgently need to be explored. Autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (auto‐HSCT) demonstrates comparable leukemia‐free survival (LFS) and overall survival (OS) in ...

Regulating PPARG Reduces Lipid Accumulation in Microglia and Promotes Functional Recovery After Spinal Cord Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 43, November 20, 2025.
Macrophages infiltrate the spinal cord post‐injury, decreasing over time. Microglia phagocytose myelin debris, increasing lipid accumulation. Macrophage deletion improves outcomes, while microglial deletion worsens them. The LD+ microglia subtype shows abnormal Pparg signaling.
