Awake supraglottic airway guided flexible bronchoscopic intubation in patients with anticipated difficult airways: a case series and narrative review [PDF]
Awake intubation is indicated in difficult airways if attempts at securing the airway after induction of general anesthesia may lead to harm due to potential difficulties or failure in those attempts.

An Intubator and Control System for Intratracheal Inoculation of Dust in Chickens
Abstract Transmission of Marek’s disease (MD) a lymphoproliferative disease of chickens is usually achieved in the laboratory by parenteral inoculation of infective material into the abdomen or subcutis. However, work at this laboratory has involved intratracheal inoculation of dry dust material in studies of the airborne transmission of MD.

Effects of Mesenchymal Stem Cell‐Derived Exosomes on Lung Inflammation in a Murine Aspiration Model
This study assessed the effect of intravenous MSC‐derived exosomes on inflammatory lung injury in a rat model of LPS aspiration. Compared with LPS alone, MSC exosome treatment reduced histologic lung injury overall (significant group effect p = 0.02; linear trend p = 0.006) and significantly lowered Tnf gene expression on qRT‐PCR (p < 0.05).

Functional Role of Piezo1 in Regulating Whole‐Lung Vascular Reactivity
ABSTRACT Mechanosensitive cation channels expressed in pulmonary arterial smooth muscle (SMC) and endothelial (EC) cells contribute to the regulation of vasoconstriction and vasodilation of the pulmonary vasculature. Here, we report that activating Piezo1, a mechanosensitive cation channel, with Yoda1 induced a mild increase in pulmonary arterial ...

This study presents HAEP@Res sub‐microgels as a lung‐targeted delivery system integrating antioxidant activity with anti‐inflammatory therapy. The sub‐microgels demonstrate excellent biocompatibility, efficiently scavenge intracellular ROS, and downregulate pro‐inflammatory cytokines and genes in a Bleo‐induced ALI mouse model. These findings highlight

Study on the effect of a cold environment on the quality of three video laryngoscopes: McGrath MAC, GlideScope Ranger, and Pentax Airway Scope [PDF]
Objective Several environmental factors influence the prehospital use of video laryngoscopes (VLs). For example, fogging of the VL lens can occur in cold environments, and the low temperature can cause the VLs to malfunction.
