Efficacy of transabdominal cerclage by open laparotomy relative to existing risk factors
Transabdominal cerclage via open laparotomy relates to 92% survival, gestational age at delivery of 37.3 weeks, with 92% of deliveries ≥34 weeks. Despite existing risk factors, outcomes are similar, and independent of cervical length before transabdominal cerclage or between transabdominal cerclage and external os.

Using the French national health database, all singleton pregnancy‐related hospital discharges from 2013 to 2020 in women aged 15–55 (n = 5 752 080) were selected.

Non‐trophoblastic tumours of the placenta: pathophysiology, diagnosis and management
Key content Non‐trophoblastic tumours include chorioangiomas, teratomas, placental mesenchymal dysplasia (PMD), leiomyomas and more rarely hepatocellular adenomas. Ultrasonography is the primary diagnostic modality. Chorioangiomas are the most common benign non‐trophoblastic placental tumour, occurring within 1% of placentas microscopically.
