A Report on the Diagnosis and Treatment of Multiple Fungal Critical Brain Abscesses A Case Report

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 1, January 2026.
ABSTRACT Multiple Candida glabrata (C. glabrata) brain abscesses are an exceptionally rare central‐nervous‐system infection. Threshold Effects of Maternal Vitamin C in Late Pregnancy on Infant Social Competence: A Nonlinear Dose‐Response Analysis in a Birth Cohort

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 1, January 2026.
This prospective cohort study analysing 442 mother‐offspring pairs reveals a nonlinear dose‐response relationship between late‐pregnancy serum vitamin C concentration and early offspring social competence. The strongest association was observed at low concentrations (≤ 4.9 μmol/L, β = 0.654/μmol), with diminishing effects at moderate levels (4.9–49 ...

You've Been Framed: The Impact of Risk and Time Framings on Contraceptive Preferences in a Discrete Choice Experiment

open access: yesHealth Economics, Volume 35, Issue 1, Page 3-11, January 2026.
ABSTRACT Previous research shows that choices are influenced by how probabilities are presented, that we value losses more than gains, and that we misunderstand cumulative probabilities over time. These factors are important when designing discrete choice experiments (DCEs) because almost all include some representation of probability over a time ...

Day‐to‐Day Reproducibility of Arterial Stiffness Following a Bout of Resistance Exercise in Healthy Young Females: A Reliability Study

open access: yesHealth Science Reports, Volume 9, Issue 1, January 2026.
ABSTRACT Background and Aims Aerobic and resistance exercise (RE) are both promoted as positive lifestyle modifications to improve cardiovascular health. While research has shown that regular aerobic exercise can improve arterial stiffness, paucity remains surrounding the vascular effects of RE.
