Recent developed temperature‐responsive hydrogel, PF‐72®, was applied to extend the duration of regional anesthesia of the pelvic limb using bupivacaine. Significantly longer nerve block duration was confirmed when bupivacaine was used in combination with PF‐72® than it was used alone.

Intravascular ultrasound imaging as a novel tool for the diagnosis of endofibrosis
Given the rise of high-intensity sport athletes and the paucity of literature on endofibrosis, we describe a novel adjunctive imaging technique to aid in diagnosis. A 41-year-old female triathlete presented with exercise-limiting claudication. Results of

Advancements in Machine Learning for Microrobotics in Biomedicine
Microrobotics is an innovative technology with great potential for noninvasive medical interventions. However, controlling and imaging microrobots pose significant challenges in complex environments and in living organisms. This review explores how machine learning algorithms can address these issues, offering solutions for adaptive motion control and ...

Bimodal intravascular volumetric imaging combining OCT and MPI [PDF]
Intravascular optical coherence tomography (IVOCT) is a catheter based image modality allowing for high resolution imaging of vessels. It is based on a fast sequential acquisition of A-scans with an axial spatial resolution in the range of 5 to 10 {\mu}m, i.e., one order of magnitude higher than in conventional methods like intravascular ultrasound or ...

A Deep Learning-based Method to Extract Lumen and Media-Adventitia in Intravascular Ultrasound Images [PDF]
Intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) imaging allows direct visualization of the coronary vessel wall and is suitable for the assessment of atherosclerosis and the degree of stenosis. Accurate segmentation and measurements of lumen and median-adventitia (MA) from IVUS are essential for such a successful clinical evaluation.
