Deficiency of SCAMP5 Triggers Pancreatic β‐Cell Secretory Dysfunction and Apoptosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that hyperglycemia in diabetes activates ChREBP, which epigenetically represses SCAMP5 expression in pancreatic β‐cells. This SCAMP5 deficiency impairs insulin secretion by downregulating the calcium channel CaV1.2. Furthermore, reduced SCAMP5 triggers β‐cell apoptosis by stabilizing VDAC1 and enhancing its interaction with Bax,

Clinical Experience of Total Intravenous Anesthesia in 77 Renal Transplant Patients

open access: yesÇukurova Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Dergisi, 2013
Purpose:Renal transplantation significantly improves quality of life compared to hemodialysis in patients with end-stage renal failure. In end-stage renal failure anesthetic technique should be planned carefully, due to changes in volume distribution ...

Closed‐Loop Bioelectronic Artificial Pancreas Patch for Continuous Monitoring and Regulation of Blood Glucose in Diabetic Rats and Pigs

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A closed‐loop bioelectronic artificial pancreas patch is presented for glucose monitoring and regulation. Utilizing transiently dissolvable microneedle arrays integrated with microtube arrays, the patch efficiently delivers insulin into interstitial fluid, eliminating the need for external long needles. In diabetic pigs, it demonstrates excellent blood

Total intravenous anesthesia: propofol/remifentanil vs midazolam/remifentanil in thoracic surgery

open access: yesRevista Cubana de Anestesiología y Reanimación, 2020
Introduction:Anesthesia administration techniques in thoracic surgery have undergone great evolution and greater scientific foundation. Total intravenous anesthesia based on analgesia favors the perioperative period without pain and recovery without ...

Potentiating Cerebral Perfusion Normalizes Glymphatic Dynamics in Systemic Inflammation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
LPS‐induced systemic inflammation increases glymphatic influx but delays cervical lymphatic drainage, accompanied by AQP4 depolarization and impaired glymphatic clearance. Enhancing cerebral blood flow via the inotropic agent levosimendan effectively restored AQP4 polarization, improving glymphatic flux and amyloid‐β clearance.

Nanographene Oxide Attenuates Acute GVHD by Modulating Macrophage Polarization in a Xenogeneic Mouse Model

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Nanographene oxide (NGO) attenuates graft‐versus‐host disease (GVHD) severity by inhibiting STAT1‐mediated M1 macrophage polarization and suppressing T‐cell activation. NGO‐primed macrophages (NGO‐Mac) further enhance regulatory T‐cell induction via IL‐10. Both NGO and NGO‐Mac therapies mitigate inflammation and immune pathology, offering cell‐free and
