Threadlike bundle of tubules running inside blood vessels: New anatomical structure [PDF]
According to current anatomy, the arteries and veins do not have threadlike structures running inside the vessels. Despite such prevailing knowledge here we report on observation of a novel structure inside the blood vessels of rats and rabbits, which is a semi-transparent elastic bundle of tubules whose diameters are of 10$\mu$m order.

A Deep learning Approach to Generate Contrast-Enhanced Computerised Tomography Angiography without the Use of Intravenous Contrast Agents [PDF]
Contrast-enhanced computed tomography angiograms (CTAs) are widely used in cardiovascular imaging to obtain a non-invasive view of arterial structures. However, contrast agents are associated with complications at the injection site as well as renal toxicity leading to contrast-induced nephropathy (CIN) and renal failure.

Inorganic Nanomaterials Meet the Immune System: An Intricate Balance
Metal nanomaterials influence the immune responses, such as cytokine production and T‐cell activity. Unintended immune modulation can have significant consequences while its fine‐tuning may transform the oncology care. Within this review, a critical analysis is offered regarding the nano/immune‐interaction and suggests the future research directions to

UWF-RI2FA: Generating Multi-frame Ultrawide-field Fluorescein Angiography from Ultrawide-field Retinal Imaging Improves Diabetic Retinopathy Stratification [PDF]
Ultrawide-field fluorescein angiography (UWF-FA) facilitates diabetic retinopathy (DR) detection by providing a clear visualization of peripheral retinal lesions. However, the intravenous dye injection with potential risks hamper its application. We aim to acquire dye-free UWF-FA images from noninvasive UWF retinal imaging (UWF-RI) using generative ...

Personalized Mathematical Model Predicting Endotoxin-Induced Inflammatory Responses in Young Men [PDF]
The initial reaction of the body to pathogenic microbial infection or severe tissue trauma is an acute inflammatory response. The magnitude of such a response is of critical importance, since an uncontrolled response can cause further tissue damage, sepsis, and ultimately death, while an insufficient response can result in inadequate clearance of ...
