Intrinsic metric and one-dimensional diffusions

Statistics & Probability Letters, 2019
This paper studies the intrinsic metric of one-dimensional diffusions. Let \((\mathcal{E},\mathcal{F})\) be a strongly local symmetric Dirichlet form on \(L^2(E;m)\), where \(E\) is a locally compact separable Hausdorff space and \(m\) is a fully supported Radon measure on \(E\).

Intrinsic metrics and Lipschitz functions

Journal of Evolution Equations, 2003
The author studies the notion of measurable metrics and Lipschitz functions w.r.t. such metrics -- originally introduced by \textit{N. Weaver} [Stud. Math. 115, 277-289 (1995; Zbl 0839.46014)] -- on Dirichlet structures and, in particular, abstract Wiener spaces.

Quantum Entanglement: The Intrinsic Metric of Spacetime

This paper explores the profound hypothesis that quantum entanglement is not merely a peculiar correlation in quantum mechanics but rather the fundamental, intrinsic metric of spacetime itself. We delve into theoretical frameworks that attempt to bridge the chasm between quantum mechanics and general relativity, proposing that the geometric properties ...

The Intrinsic Lagrangian Metric and Stress Variables

1992
Strain and stress, and their rates, are fundamental concepts. Their modeling largely depends on basic kinematic choices that need to be well defined and uncontested. As shown in [1], to which we refer also for its extensive bibliography, this is not the case in large deformation theory.
