An Intrinsic Metric for Power Spectral Density Functions [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Signal Processing Letters, 2007
We present an intrinsic metric that quantifies distances between power spectral density functions. The metric was derived by the author in a recent arXiv-report (math.OC/0607026) as the geodesic distance between spectral density functions with respect to a particular pseudo-Riemannian metric motivated by a quadratic prediction problem.

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Holomorphic maps which preserve intrinsic metrics or measures [PDF]

open access: yesTransactions of the American Mathematical Society, 1990
Suppose that M M is a domain in a taut complex manifold M ′ M’ , and that Ω \Omega is a strictly convex bounded domain in C n {{\mathbf {C}}^n} .

Recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming and confer resistance to targeted therapies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We show that the majority of the 18 analyzed recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming. The most potent mutations are activating, co‐operate with other ERBB receptors, and are sensitive to pan‐ERBB inhibitors. Activating ERBB4 mutations also promote therapy resistance in EGFR‐mutant lung cancer.

Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve

Monitoring of FinFET Characteristics Using $\Delta V_{\text{DIBLSS}}/(I_{\text{on}}/I_{\text{off}})$ and $\Delta V_{\text{DIBL}}/(I_{\text{on}}/I_{\text{off}})$

open access: yesIEEE Journal of the Electron Devices Society, 2019
In this paper, we present a descriptive analysis of a performance index, ΔVDIBLSS/(Ion/Ioff), used for performance monitoring. Scaled nand p-channel metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistors (MOSFETs) (planar and FinFET devices) are ...

Tumor mutational burden as a determinant of metastatic dissemination patterns

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study performed a comprehensive analysis of genomic data to elucidate whether metastasis in certain organs share genetic characteristics regardless of cancer type. No robust mutational patterns were identified across different metastatic locations and cancer types.

Rethinking Distractor Quality in Multimodal Multiple-Choice Questions: Automated Evaluation and Hard Benchmark Construction

open access: yesComputers
In Multimodal Multiple-Choice Questions, distractors play a pivotal role in rigorously evaluating the cross-modal reasoning capabilities of Multimodal Large Language Models by serving as plausible yet incorrect options.
