Intrinsic Viscosity of Cyclic Polystyrene
The intrinsic viscosity of cyclic polystyrenes (C-PS) and linear polystyrenes (L-PS) with molecular weight (MW) ranging from 16K to 370K was measured in THF using size exclusion chromatography coupled with a triple detection system. The C-PS samples were prepared by a ring-closure reaction of telechelic linear precursor synthesized by anionic ...

Relationship between intrinsic viscosity, thermal and retrogradation properties of amylose and amylopectin [PDF]
The relationships between intrinsic viscosity and some properties of amylose and amylopectin were investigated. The intrinsic viscosities determined by Ubbelohde viscometer for rice, maize, wrinkled pea and potato amyloses were 46.28 ± 0.30, 123.94 ± 0 ...

Intrinsic viscosity of a suspension of cubes
We report on the viscosity of a dilute suspension of cube-shaped particles. Irrespective of the particle size, size distribution, and surface chemistry, we find empirically that cubes manifest an intrinsic viscosity [η]=3.1±0.2, which is substantially higher than the well-known value for spheres, [η]=2.5.

The terminology of intrinsic viscosity and related functions
Abstract The confusion existing in the use of symbols and names for Kraemer's “intrinsic viscosity” and other functions related to it is illustrated and deplored. The reasonable plea is made that one name be adopted for each function and that it be used with no other meaning.

Effect of Gamma-Ray and Temperature on the Viscosity of Polystyrene [PDF]
In this research the effect of gamma rays had been studied on the reduced viscosity and intrinsic viscosity and Huggins constant of polystyrene (PS) solution in the solvent benzene, by the determination of the average molecular weight of (PS) using Mark -
