Self‐Healing UPy‐Functionalized Polyethylene Networks: A Robust Platform for Resilient and High‐Performance Lithium Battery Separators

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Self‐healing separators are developed by grafting ureidopyrimidinone (UPy) quadruple hydrogen‐bonding motifs onto PE‐HEMA copolymers, blended with high‐MW PEO via solvent‐free hot‐pressing. The dynamic UPy network enables autonomous healing, restoring functionality after short circuits.

Multifunctional Ionic Liquid Enabling Cation Homogenization and Lead Chelation for Pure‐Iodide Wide‐Bandgap Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work presents a multifunctional ionic liquid, [SO3H‐PMIm][OTf], that addresses A‐site cation inhomogeneity and lead toxicity in pure‐iodide wide‐bandgap perovskite solar cells. The additive enables homogeneous cation distribution, achieving 22.02% efficiency with 90% retention after 3000 h and reducing lead leakage by over 58%, thereby ...

LLMs as Representation Generators for Gradient‐Free Scientific Optimization: A Case Study in Battery Fast Charging

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Large language models serve as representation generators for gradient‐free scientific optimization. Two complementary approaches produce executable battery‐charging policies either directly or through LLM‐designed neural representations coupled to Bayesian optimization.
