Inhalable Hsa‐miR‐30a‐3p Liposomes Attenuate Pulmonary Fibrosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The study explores inhalable hsa‐miR‐30a‐3p‐loaded liposomes as a treatment for bleomycin‐induced pulmonary fibrosis in mice. Hsa‐miR‐30a‐3p is electroporated into liposomes and formulated into a dry powder for inhalation. Delivered via dry powder inhalation, it improves pulmonary function, promotes myofibroblast de‐differentiation by targeting CNPY2 ...

Defining the pig microglial transcriptome reveals its core signature, regional heterogeneity, and similarity with human and rodent microglia

open access: yesGlia, Volume 71, Issue 2, Page 334-349, February 2023., 2023
Main Points Defined a pig microglial transcriptome signature comprising 239 genes. Demonstrated regional variance in the pig microglial transcriptome across the brain. Revealed similarity of pig microglial gene expression to that of human and mouse microglia.

Injectable pH Responsive Conductive Hydrogel for Intelligent Delivery of Metformin and Exosomes to Enhance Cardiac Repair after Myocardial Ischemia‐Reperfusion Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Injectable pH responsive conductive hydrogel for intelligent delivery of metformin and exosomes to alleviate myocardial ischemia‐reperfusion injury. The hydrogel responds to the weakly acidic microenvironment of ischemic injury and can significantly reduce the production of intracellular ROS and enhance cardiac conduction, thereby resisting apoptosis ...

A Novel Protein NAB1‐356 Encoded by circRNA circNAB1 Mitigates Atrial Fibrillation by Reducing Inflammation and Fibrosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The circRNA circNAB1 is downregulated in AF patient. Silencing circNAB1 promotes collagen deposition and inflammation, whereas overexpression reduces AF susceptibility. circNAB1 encodes the protein NAB1 356 that interacts with EGR1 to mitigate fibrosis and inflammation.

Clinical Validation of Single-Chamber Model-Based Algorithms Used to Estimate Respiratory Compliance [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2021
Non-invasive estimation of respiratory physiology using computational algorithms promises to be a valuable technique for future clinicians to detect detrimental changes in patient pathophysiology. However, few clinical algorithms used to non-invasively analyze lung physiology have undergone rigorous validation in a clinical setting, and are often ...

KLF1 Promotes Cardiomyocyte Proliferation and Heart Regeneration Through Regulation of Wnt/β‐Catenin Signaling Pathway

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In KLF1‐on (neonatal and Klf1 overexpression hearts) models, KLF1 regulates Wnt/β‐catenin signaling pathway and the expression of cell proliferation‐related genes via transcriptional and epigenetic mechanisms, which induces cardiomyocyte proliferation and cardiac regeneration in mice after myocardial infarction.

Strengthening the ICUs' human resource‐related responses to Covid‐19: A rapid review of the experience during the first year of public health emergency

open access: yesThe International Journal of Health Planning and Management, Volume 38, Issue 1, Page 22-39, January 2023., 2023
Abstract By drawing on macro‐categories of key human resource (HR) management interventions recommended by the Organization for Economic Co‐operation and Development (OECD) during the Covid‐19 pandemic, this study aimed to explore whether and how Intensive Care Units (ICU) have strengthened their HRs during the first year of Covid‐19 emergency. A rapid

Tracheal rupture after endotracheal intubation - A report of three cases - [PDF]

open access: yesKorean Journal of Anesthesiology, 2012
Tracheal rupture is a rare but serious complication that occurs after endotracheal intubation. It usually presents as a linear lesion in the membranous wall of the trachea, and is more prevalent in women and patients older than 50 years.
