A New Method for Ranking Intuitionistic Fuzzy Numbers

open access: yesInternational Journal of Knowledge and Systems Science, 2011
In this paper the ranking method for intuitionistic fuzzy numbers is studied. The authors first define a possibility degree formula to compare two intuitionistic fuzzy numbers. In comparison with Chen and Tan’s score function, the possibility degree formula provides additional information for the comparison of two intuitionistic fuzzy numbers. Based on

Approximation of intuitionistic fuzzy numbers by trapezoidal intuitionistic fuzzy numbers

Journal of Intelligent & Fuzzy Systems, 2017
The notation of extended intuitionistic fuzzy number is introduced and the representation of the weighted extended trapezoidal intuitionistic approximation of an intuitionistic fuzzy number is given in this paper. The problem related to aggregation is addressed about approximating the given intuitionistic fuzzy numbers or aggregating the given ...

Ranking of intuitionistic fuzzy numbers

2008 IEEE International Conference on Fuzzy Systems (IEEE World Congress on Computational Intelligence), 2008
The notion of fuzzy subsets was introduced by L.A.Zadeh (1965) and it was generalised to intuitionistic fuzzy subsets by K.Atanassov [1]. After the invention of intuitionistic fuzzy subsets, many real life problems are studied accurately [7, 13, 14]. The measure of fuzziness was studied in [12, 16].

The orders of intuitionistic fuzzy numbers

Journal of Intelligent & Fuzzy Systems, 2015
In many applications of intuitionistic fuzzy sets, comparing or ranking intuitionistic fuzzy numbers (IFNs) plays an important role. In this paper, the orders of intuitionistic fuzzy numbers are discussed. The orders of IFNs have undesired mathematical properties. By using a special function, a new order of IFNs is proposed.

The logarithmic operational laws of intuitionistic fuzzy sets and intuitionistic fuzzy numbers

Journal of Intelligent & Fuzzy Systems, 2017
Intuitionistic fuzzy set (IFS) is an extension of fuzzy set. The basic element of an IFS is the ordered pair called intuitionistic fuzzy number (IFN). So far, some basic operational laws of IFNs are defined, but not including the logarithmic operation. In this paper, a logarithmic operational law about IFNs is defined, in which the

Simplified interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy sets with intuitionistic fuzzy numbers

Journal of Intelligent & Fuzzy Systems, 2016
There has been a growing interest and activity in the field of interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy sets (IVIFSs). It is generally useful to express the variations of the membership function and the non-membership function in fuzzy circumstances. However, the IVIFS is a little bit complicated on expressions and calculations. To overcome this limitation,
