A proposed shadowed intuitionistic fuzzy numbers

The methods of constructing shadowed sets have been developed to conserve the amount of uncertainty for fuzzy sets. The shadowed sets designed by such methods usually maintain one type of uncertainty for fuzzy sets. Moreover, such techniques are considered inappropriate for higher types of fuzzy sets.

The aim of this paper is to introduce a new ranking procedure for trapezoidal intuitionistic fuzzy number(TRIFN). To serve the purpose, the value and ambiguity index of TRIFNs have been defined.

In many applications of intuitionistic fuzzy sets, comparing or ranking intuitionistic fuzzy numbers (IFNs) plays an important role. In this paper, the orders of intuitionistic fuzzy numbers are discussed. The orders of IFNs have undesired mathematical properties. By using a special function, a new order of IFNs is proposed.
